No-exam life insurance
When you might qualify for quick approval, the process, and what happens if you don't.
Accelerated approval is increasingly standard: for applicants within age and amount parameters, carriers make decisions based on the application, prescription records, driving history and other data, bypassing the medical exam. Same-day decisions are common. Each quote on this site notes whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required.
What it changes
Accelerated approval doesn't eliminate underwriting. Your application information is checked, and a policy issued based on false answers can be challenged within two years. The carrier may request an exam or laboratory tests if questions arise; you decide whether to move forward.
Who tends to qualify
Applicants under around age 60, applying for amounts within the carrier's accelerated approval limits, with no significant health issues and no tobacco use within the past year qualify. Recent bloodwork from a doctor's appointment may be accepted in place of a new exam by some carriers.
Exams typically take 20 to 30 minutes and happen at your home or workplace in the Fontana area at no cost. For applicants in good health, the results frequently improve your rate category—an exam can actually work in your favor.
